Biography
I am Adjunct Professor of Instruction in the School of Television where I am teaching Portfolio Review and Strategic Marketing and Distribution in Fall 2025. My professional practice is focused on live action narrative filmmaking. My narrative short, Breathing above the Treeline, had 14 live screenings world-wide and received numerous nominations and awards in all categories. In 2023 I completed two shorts, Bat and Groped. Both films were official selections of WorldFest:Houston International Film Festival. Bat won a silver Remi award in the long-short category. Both Bat and Groped were awarded post-production grants by the Illinois Arts Council Agency. I have published four academic papers focused on the hero's journey, fairytale structure and myth. In addition, I have presented internationally in Mumbai and in Moscow on writing for interactive episodic web-based narrative media. I am currently in development on a short called Trinity Wars. I am also developing a crime procedural for series. I have an MFA in writing and directing from Columbia University in the City of New York.
